Animation
I choose to do my animation as I didn't want to make it too hard for myself to create as it is very time-consuming. I'd love to make a animated music video but it would take too much time, at a push, as long as I could think of something to go with it, a half normal and a half animated video would look good, for example in Bruno Mars' - Just The Way You Are music video, where he uses the tape player and the tape to create words and pictures while also being a his human self within the video. I think the benefits of the animation are the fact it's quite unique and if done well, can look great! The draw back for me, is it can be quite hard to keep the same picture but changed, so I would do it on a computer next time.

Hi Jade, I like the example from Bruno Mars' video. Could you look further into the pros and cons of different forms of animation and evaluate in more detail why this is not a route for you. You might also want to link this to your video to show how it isn't an appropriate technique.
ReplyDeleteWe have decided not to do animation because of the amount of time it takes to put together, especially as we would need to storyboard it out. And we also didn't as the original song didn't have many motifs that you could create an animation for.
