The Norwich/local music scene (case study)

Case Study:
Norwich is increasingly becoming larger with the music scene.
Popular venues include Norwich Playhouse, Waterfront, Norwich Arts Centre and the UEA LCR to name a few. To link in with a previous case study, Norwich luckily has Norfolk Introducing where local bands and artists send their music in and will occasionally be played on BBC Norfolk.
National Image are a local band from Norwich.

The University of East Anglia has a student union that run the ticket bookings office which is located at the venue of the UEA LCR and they also have control over the Waterfront which is situated in the city

I found an article on the internet from the Guardian (http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2010/jun/10/local-music-scenes-internet) that questions whether the internet has killed the local music scene, and in ways I completely agree - when you look back on programmes/films from the 60s, 70s and 80s, you can see how into music people were, how they wanted to actually experience a gig and now people don't seem as bothered, probably because a lot of music now is digitally developed and mostly how people can't be bothered because they can access the music on the internet and can download it straight to their computer or phone, to listen to whenever they want.

I can only speak on the behalf of Norwich for the local music scene, but a lot of people seem to think that it is dying out - when actually, gigs and more people bringing out their music is becoming more and more popular.
B2 at the Brickmakers pub in Sprowston is becoming increasingly popular. A lot of local bands - occasionally older, take part in being a tribute band or performing their own songs. The most popular type of genre that
